✨A concert inspired by the women of the Six Triple Eight. See what the world could look like when women lead with humanity at the center!
On Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 3pm, Spectra Choir presents Phenomenal Women: Six Triple Eight, a concert honoring the extraordinary group of women who, while serving their country during World War II, quietly changed the course of history. The 6888th Battalion, known as the Six Triple Eight, was tasked with an impossible mission: restore a broken mail system and reconnect millions of soldiers to the people they loved. Despite overwhelming odds of racism, sexism, and logistical chaos, they expertly transformed neglect into order, proving that hope could arrive in something as small as an envelope. Led by Lt. Col. Charity Adams, these women built a powerful sisterhood grounded in community, trust, and the collective well-being of all.
Phenomenal Women: Six Triple Eight is a concert inspired by their legacy and a glimpse of what the world could look like when women lead with humanity at the center.

Spectra Choir presents Phenomenal Women: To Whom Much is Given, a concert honoring the extraordinary group of Savannah women who stood together in the 1950s and 60s to save the city’s historic downtown from demolition.
At a time when economic decline and urban renewal threatened to erase Savannah’s architectural heritage, these seven visionaries organized, fundraised, and advocated fiercely for preservation — sparking a movement that secured the survival of the beautiful squares and homes we treasure today.
Through song, story, and community, this concert lifts up their courage, creativity, and leadership, reminding us that the work of building and protecting a city belongs to its people — and that determined women can change the course of history.

With a continuation of our fall concert, "The Womanhood in Me..." Spectra Choir presents, ""...Loves the Human in You.", a concert that calls us to stand together in allyship, in love, and in action. Through music that lifts voices for integrity, unity, and compassion, we sing for those unheard, we stand against injustice, and we choose to build a world where love leads.
This is more than a concert—it’s a gathering of hearts, a promise to show up for one another, and an anthem of hope.

“Our ancestors are all the proof we need that progress is possible, not guaranteed.” The matriarchs before us paved the way for us to keep marching on and most importantly, trust ourselves. Trust that we contain multitudes, that we’re never just one thing, and that we stay curious about our purpose on this earth. Trust that leading with love illuminates our path, and love cannot exist alongside injustice. Trust that the feminine fire within fuels us to fight for all. “It is our nature and our duty. It is the womanhood in me.”
Please join us for an afternoon of beautifully poignant and empowering music honoring the Womanhood in all of us.
